By making a booking with Ride Leisure you are deemed to have read and accept these terms & conditions.
Ride Leisure Staff and Instructors will be on duty at all times during your visit for your safety and convenience, please ask if you have any questions and they will be happy to help.
We reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises if you do not abide by the conditions outlined below, in such cases no refund will be given.
QUOTATIONS Quotations are valid for 7 days.
DEPOSITS A non-refundable deposit payment of 30% is required to secure your event date. The balance must be paid 2 weeks before the booked date. The balance to be paid by bank transfer or PayPal. We cannot guarantee holding Booking Dates without payment. Alternatively, you may pay the full cost of your booking at this point.
Booking less than 2 weeks ahead – Full payment by credit/debit card is required at the time of making your reservation. This may be by bank transfer, paypal or by telephone.
PAYMENT TERMS – Multi Activity/Event days Cancellations with LESS THAN 14 DAYS notice are non-refundable. Full or cleared payment is required prior to or on arrival at the Ride Leisure. Any Group discount pricing is based on actual number of participants on the day of event. Credit is by prior arrangement only and is subject to strict 7 days settlement. Extras are payable on the day.
EXCLUSIVE SITE HIRE Ride Leisure reserves the right to charge exclusive site hire, fees may vary.
BOOKINGS – Events/Funtions/Activity Days After your initial enquiry, a quotation will be sent. A provisional booking can be made and held for 48hrs, after which Ride Leisure requires confirmation of your acceptance by email or through our quotation link. Provisional bookings not confirmed will be considered cancelled. For days where outside contractors are required, these will not be booked until deposit is received. As seasonal demand can be high any delay can affect their availability and the agreed quote.Menu orders must be finalised 2 weeks in advance of the event day. The notice period to change your Event/Function/Activity booking is 14 days.
Events/Funtions/Activity Days – Cancellations A minimum of 14 days notice is necessary for single booking amendments. If you can provide us with at least 14 days notice, you will be able to re-book your Event/Function/Activity day to an alternative available date. If you do not notify us, or if you provide less than 14 days, then you will not qualify for an alternative date. Cancellations on the day will NOT be refundable.
BOOKINGS – Experiences
We advise that you pre-book your experience as timings are strictly subject to availability. You can book online at www.rideleisure.co.uk by emailing shout@rideleisure.co.uk or with our customer service team, by calling 01480 213100. When booking your experience online, you can use the online booking system to choose the date, time and location that suits you best. Alternatively, you can buy a Gift Voucher. Choosing a Gift Voucher allows the booking of the experience to be made at a later date. The purpose of the Gift Voucher is so that you can give it away. So if you can’t use it, feel free to pass it on to someone else – as long as they meet the requirements of participation.
VOUCHERS Ride Leisure vouchers will be delivered by email to the address entered at the time of purchase.
REDEMPTION To redeem a Ride Leisure Gift Voucher visit rideleisure.co.uk and enter your voucher number in the ‘redeem voucher’ window. Choose the date and time of your experience, and add it to your basket. Proceed to the checkout. When you get to the payment stage the Gift Voucher will be applied and the balance due will reflect this. You will receive a confirmation of your booking once you have placed your order.
VALIDITY Ride Leisure Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Experiences must be booked and confirmed prior to the expiry date. If the voucher is not used before the expiry date (and has not been extended – see Extensions below) the voucher will be deemed invalid and void.
EXTENSIONS It is possible to extend or re-validate your voucher prior to the expiry date for a further period but this is subject to the discretion of Ride Leisure, and will incur an administration fee.
LOST VOUCHERS If you have lost your voucher, please contact shout@rideleisure.co.uk providing as much information as possible so that we can try and trace your booking. We may be able to send you a replacement voucher assuming your original voucher has not been redeemed.
DUPLICATION If you have accidentally duplicated a voucher request, please contact us immediately and we will refund the unwanted voucher, minus any transaction costs we may have incurred provided you notify us within 14 days of the transaction. However, if any duplicate or unwanted vouchers are used, we will process the associated payment.
REFUNDS A refund can be made if your email voucher is returned within 14 working days of purchase and if the voucher has not been redeemed. The refund will be made to the credit/debit card or PayPal account used to purchase the activity minus any transaction costs incurred in the order process. Once the Gift Voucher has been redeemed and a time and date has been booked, the experience is subject to the same cancellation policy as stated in the Cancellation section. To request a refund please send a copy of your voucher to: shout@rideleisure.co.uk within 7 days of the purchase date. All transactions are made in GBP.
CHANGE YOUR BOOKING/CANCELLATION Cancellation by customer: Once the customer has received the confirmation booking email, they will become bound by the terms and conditions of Ride Leisure. CANCELLATION BY RIDE LEISURE EVENTS There may be instances when Ride Leisure need to cancel an experience or event– this could be for a number of reasons, but the most likely is inclement weather. If we do need to cancel your experience or event we will give you as much notice as we can. We will use the information provided at the time of booking (email and phone number) to contact you. So please ensure you check your emails and phone before setting off. If this unfortunate event does happen, you will be able to rebook your event/experience for another day. Unfortunately Ride Leisure cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by the customer in the event of a cancellation.
INDEMNITY OR DAMAGE WAIVER Ride Leisure requires customers to complete our Ride Leisure Medical Questionnaire which includes our Indemnity Waiver before participating in any activity. Your participation in your chosen Ride Leisure experience is at your own risk and Ride Leisure accepts no liability save for that which cannot be excluded under the prevailing Laws of England and Wales. ARRIVING We can get extremely busy during peak times, so please allow at least 30 minutes prior to your activity start time to sign in and to kit up. If you are late, there may be an opportunity to move your Experience or Group session to a later slot, but this will be dependent on the day’s schedule and cannot be guaranteed. The best thing to do is make sure you arrive in plenty of time. Ride Leisure reserves the right to refuse your Experience or Group session without refund or transfer, but will endeavour to accommodate you as best we can.
DURATION If you are part of a group booking, or your experience is during a peak time, you should expect to be sharing the experience with other people and may need to ‘take turns’. There may also be some waiting time involved. We optimise our diary to ensure our timings are as accurate as possible, but some things are beyond our control and timings should be taken as a guide only.
GENERAL
Event organisers MUST accept responsibility for the proper conduct of their group and compliance with all safety and general regulations whilst at Ride Leisure Wyboston Lakes.
CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT Pricing includes all equipment, supervision and tuition. Participants are advised to bring a towel, swimming costume and a pair of old trainers/soft shoes for walking around the site and for use in the water. A change of old clothes is recommended for track events and games areas. Please dress appropriately to the weather conditions on the day. You are welcome to bring your own wetsuit and booties, however there is no discount on stated prices if you choose to use your own equipment. There are limited lockers provided to store your personal items and valuables while you are participating in your activity. Lockers are available on a first come first serve basis. Neither Ride Leisure or its employees or agents are responsible for any loss, theft or damage to valuables or personal property belonging to any visitor whilst on Ride Leisure’s premises. There are also toilet and shower facilities on site.
SAFETY Our experiences will involve a safety briefing, this is mandatory. If not attended, the customer will not be able to participate in their activity. Please ensure you arrive early enough to attend your pre-experience safety briefing. You will be required to wear certain safety equipment depending on your experience, compliance is also mandatory.
RESTRICTIONS Ride Leisure’s experiences do have restrictions. Generally these are related to age and weight but they do vary so, please check your suitability via our shop. Ride Leisure reserves the right to require proof of age and to check your weight on the day. Once a booking has been confirmed, you will not be entitled to a refund if you do not meet the criteria or restrictions specified on your voucher, so please read the experience details carefully. All under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst on Ride Leisure premises. Adults shall be held responsible for any damage caused by children they accompany whilst on Ride Leisure premises.
INCLUSIVITY We welcome the participation of disabled people however, it must be noted that some disabilities are not suitable for our experiences. If you have any questions about your ability to participate in a specific experience, please contact us and we will provide you with all the relevant information to assist you in making a decision. We are happy to provide information about the disabled facilities on-site upon request.
SPECTATORS
Spectators are welcome onsite. Viewing areas are limited so spectators are expected to be respectful of participant’s enjoyment of their activity.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Spectators accompanying Ride Leisure customers are welcome to photograph / record their activity or event however, it should be borne in mind that the privacy of others (especially children) is respected. Prior permission must be obtained from Ride Staff before photography / filming takes place. Drones are not permitted on the premises unless organised by Ride Leisure. If there are any indications or concerns that an individual may be taking images of children or young people that are inappropriate or illegal, this should immediately be reported to Ride Leisure, who have responsibility for contacting the police. This includes images of children taken in changing areas or toilets, or images taken in ways or from angles that suggest inappropriate or abusive intent.
Ride Leisure may record images for advertising or marketing purposes but with discretion. It is sometimes the case that third parties including the press record images of events at Ride Leisure.
TO ENSURE THE SUCCESS OF YOUR DAY ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:
The centre has its own bar and food facilities and as such NO ALCOHOL, PICNIC, or BBQs are permitted except that which is supplied by the centre.
SPEED LIMITS and parking zones must be observed at all times.
NO DOGS are allowed on site for safety reasons.
NO BALL games
NO Drones allowed on site for safety reasons.
NO SWIMMING permitted on site except in our designated Aqua Park area and on our specific Open Water Swimming evenings.
WHEELED play equipment is NOT permitted on site (bikes, scooters etc).
Children must be kept under close parental supervision at all times.
Use of equipment and machinery will be refused should participant be deemed under the influence of alcohol or drugs or in contravention of safety guidelines.
SPECIAL EVENTS & SITE CLOSURE Our available activity dates are shown on our website however, part or all of Ride Leisure may be closed at times for special events, charters or essential maintenance work. Please check on our website Venue Hire/Ride Eeventsbefore booking/arrival for up to date information on forthcoming activities or closures.
SIGN-UP When purchasing an activity with Ride Leisure you are registering your email address with us, and signing up to our mailing list. This mailing list will not be given, sold, sent or shared with any third party it will only be used to notify you of Ride Leisure related events, activities, sales and offers. Each email will contain an unsubscribe link at the bottom, so if you do not wish to receive these emails, please unsubscribe upon receipt of the email.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS / REQUIREMENTS If you have an existing medical condition which you think may affect your safety or the safety of others during your experience, please seek proper medical advice before visiting us. Please note that Ride Leisure activities are not recommended for persons who have serious heart, back or neck conditions, or customers who are pregnant. You will be required to complete and sign a Ride Leisure Medical Questionnaire and Liability Release Form prior to your experience. If you have any medical questions, then please contact Ride Leisure on 01480 213100, before booking your activity. In the absence of negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, neither Ride Leisure nor its employees/agents shall be responsible for the death, personal injury, illness of any customer or damage to equipment or clothing whilst on Ride Leisure premises. If you have any legal questions, then please contact Ride Leisure on 01480 213100, before booking your activity. For the safety of our customers, Ride Leisure reserves the right to ask any customer to leave the operational area if we believe them to be under the influence of drink or drugs, behaving irresponsibly or endangering others. In such cases no refund will be given.
COMPLAINTS We would like your feedback (positive and negative) on any of the experiences you have undertaken. If you have a problem on the day, please raise this with the manager or experience coordinator on site. This will enable us to correct or resolve the issue as soon as possible. However, if your problem is not resolved, or not resolved to your satisfaction, please email us at shout@rideleisure.co.uk within 14 days of your experience detailing the nature of your complaint. Please include your order reference number or your voucher number along with the details of your complaint, including the name of the staff member you dealt with on the day.
CONTRACT
The contract between you and Ride Leisure Ltd does not create any right enforceable by any person under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from under that Act. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer and are governed by and in accordance the Law of England and Wales.
DATA PROTECTION
We undertake to comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998. For further details please refer to our Privacy Policy. We make sure that our website is safe and your personal data is secure.
PRICES All activities and prices are correct at time of going to press, however Ride Leisure reserves the right to make changes at any time. All prices shown include V.A.T as applicable.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS All prices shown on the Ride Leisure website are in GBP and all transactions are completed in GBP. We are not liable for any additional fees or charges that may be incurred if you order from overseas or using a currency other than GBP. These fees are in addition to any experience costs and are beyond our control. The price for overseas activities may vary considerably in line with exchange rate fluctuations on a daily basis. Please be aware of this between researching and booking your experience.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The illustrations, text and images used on the Ride Leisure website and in the associated vouchers are the intellectual property of Ride Leisure or licensed to Ride Leisure and must not be copied in whole or in part without the express permission of Ride Leisure. Penalties to the user will be incurred if content is copied from Ride Leisure without permission.
